The Department of Computer Applications at Assam Don Bosco University organized a
Personality Development Program through Yoga on 11th September 2024, exclusively for BCA students, with the objective of promoting holistic development and overall well-being among young learners. This thoughtful initiative aimed to help students realize the transformative power
of yoga in shaping not just their physical health, but also their mental and emotional strength key components in building a confident and balanced personality.
The session was designed to demonstrate how regular yoga practice can enhance mental clarity, emotional stability, and physical fitness, thereby contributing significantly to a student’s personal
and academic success. Participants were introduced to a variety of yoga postures, breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation practices, all of which are effective in improving concentration, reducing stress, and building self-confidence—qualities essential for personal
growth and professional readiness.
Moreover, the program placed a strong emphasis on mindfulness and the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle amidst the demands of academic life. Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, students gained practical tools to manage anxiety, stay
focused, and cultivate inner calm.
By integrating ancient wellness practices with modern student needs, this yoga session served as a meaningful step toward nurturing emotionally resilient, mentally alert, and physically active individuals. The event underscored the department’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also the overall personality and life skills of its students.
