Master of Computer Applications

Master of Computer Applications is a 2-year (4-semester) AICTE approved (F. No. Eastern/1-4259555150/2019/EOA, dated 29 April 2019) Master’s Degree in applied computer science. It aims at producing trained professionals who can successfully meet the growing demands of the Information Technology industry. The core focus of the course is on computer network and internet technologies, application programming, system level programming and database management. The electives in the later semesters provide for progressive specialization in chosen areas. Adequate emphasis is given to the Open Source Software platform.

Eligibility

Grade /Marks requirement from qualifying examinations

Graduation in Bachelor of Computer Applications / BTech Computer Science Engineering / BSc / B.Com with a minimum of 50% of the aggregate marks
Pass marks in Mathematics or equivalent at the +2 or graduation level
Candidates must appear for an Entrance Test – Don Bosco University Post Graduate Entrance Test (DBU-PGET) for MCA and a Personal Interview
Provisional Admission: Applicants who have not yet obtained their Bachelor’s degree also may apply for admission. Such candidates will be offered provisional admission until they furnish evidence of fulfilling the eligibility criteria stated in (1) and (2) within 3 months of the commencement of the programme.
