The Department of Computer Applications, Assam Don Bosco University, is proud to announce that Dr. Sarat Kumar Chettri, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Applications and Head, Centre for Health Informatics and Data Science (CHiDS), has been awarded a prestigious AICTE Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) \u2013 Lab to Market project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project has been sanctioned by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) \u2013 Lab to Market initiative with a total approved grant of \u20b923,00,000. The research focuses on AI-driven interventions for learning disabilities in the domain of Healthcare and Medical Technology and will be led by Dr. Sarat Kumar Chettri as the Principal Investigator (PI), with Dr. Gypsy Nandi, Head, Department of Computer Applications, serving as the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project aims to develop innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions that support the early identification, assessment, and intervention of learning disabilities by integrating educational technology, IoT-enabled smart solutions, cloud computing, and healthcare informatics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project also strengthens the University’s commitment to interdisciplinary research, innovation, and societal impact while fostering collaborations among academia, healthcare professionals, and technology experts. It is expected to create opportunities for student involvement, research publications, prototype development, and technology transfer under the AICTE Lab to Market initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department congratulates the project team on this significant achievement and wishes them every success in the successful execution of the project.
