We, final year B. Tech CSE students, Shubham Tarafder, Dhriti<br>Dhara Nath, and Neha Barthakur, were selected for our project titled \u201cNeural Scene Representation<br>for 3D Reconstruction of Assamese Cultural Artifacts.\u201d<br>Our project focuses on preserving Assamese cultural heritage using advanced Artificial Intelligence and<br>Computer Vision technologies. We are exploring modern 3D reconstruction methods such as Photogrammetry, Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF), and 3D Gaussian Splatting to create realistic and high-<br>quality digital models of traditional Assamese artifacts, including Japi, Xorai, Dhol, Majuli Masks, and Asharikandi crafts.<br>The research combines neural rendering, machine learning, and cultural preservation in an<br>interdisciplinary framework. Through extensive experimentation, we also worked on addressing<br>challenges such as reconstruction errors and hallucination artifacts by integrating diffusion-based AI<br>techniques like LoRA and ControlNet for improved scene consistency and reconstruction quality.<br>This project aims to support digital heritage preservation through applications such as virtual<br>museums, educational archives, and immersive AR\/VR experiences. The IndiaAI Fellowship has<br>provided us with valuable motivation, mentorship, and support to continue meaningful research that<br>connects cutting-edge technology with the rich cultural traditions of Assam, helping preserve them for<br>future generations.
