The visit was arranged, coordinated and supervised by Dr. Rashmita Barua, Associate Professor, Department of Management, Assam Don Bosco University. The students were accompanied by Dr Gaurav Das, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Assam Don Bosco University. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to large-scale beverage manufacturing, quality control systems, and supply chain operations in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session began with an introductory briefing by the company representatives who familiarized the students with the organizational profile, operational structure, and market presence of the company. It was explained that Varun Beverages Limited is one of the largest franchise bottling partners of PepsiCo, responsible for manufacturing, bottling, and distributing a wide range of beverages across India and several international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the plant tour, students were guided through various stages of the beverage production process. They observed key operational units including water purification, syrup preparation, bottle rinsing, automated filling and capping, labeling, and packaging. The company personnel highlighted the use of advanced automated machinery and strict hygiene protocols maintained throughout the production cycle to ensure product quality and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The students were also introduced to the logistics and distribution mechanisms adopted by the company for efficient delivery of products to different markets.
