This course aimed to enhance the writing skills of BBA 6th Semester students, focusing on the essentials of public relations (PR) writing in professional and organizational contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative was part of the University\u2019s commitment to bridging academic knowledge and industry practices, preparing students for competitive and dynamic careers in public relations and corporate communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Date: <\/strong>17th to 21st March 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mode: <\/strong>Workshop-Based live sessions along with self-study materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Duration: <\/strong>15 hours of workshop-based classes followed by self-learning resources and assignments of 15 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Assessment: <\/strong>Assignments and an MCQ-based assessment on the last day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Requirements:<\/strong> Active participation and attendance is mandatory to successfully complete the course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Assessment and Certification:<\/strong> Participants must maintain 80% attendance and successfully complete all assignments and score at least 50 percent in the MCQ based assessment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COURSE COMPLETION<\/strong>: The total number of students who could successfully complete all the requirements of the course is 33.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Course Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course was designed to achieve the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Familiarize students with the foundational concepts and techniques of PR writing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enable students to master different styles and formats of PR writing across various media platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Equip students with ethical and strategic approaches to PR communication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop practical writing, editing, and presentation skills through hands-on activities and assessments.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Course Modules and Delivery<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The VAC comprised six modules, which were systematically covered by three faculty members from the Department of Mass Communication:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 1: March 17, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Resource Person:<\/strong> Dr. Alpana Choudhury, Head of the Department, Mass Communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Modules Covered:<\/strong>\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Introduction to PR Writing<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Overview of PR writing and its role in organizational communication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Characteristics and objectives of effective PR writing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Writing for Different Media<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Techniques for writing for print, broadcast, and digital platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Structuring content to suit the medium and audience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Methodology:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Theoretical sessions supplemented by examples from industry practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Individual assignments were distributed to assess comprehension.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 2: March 18, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Resource Person:<\/strong> Mr. Rupam Kr.
