Mr. Pranjal Das is an AI Product Manager with over 12 years of professional experience, combining extensive experience in life sciences commercial operations, go-to-market strategy, and enterprise AI product development. He spent nine years working in commercial strategy, presales, and go-to-market roles with global pharmaceutical organizations before transitioning into the development and deployment of Agentic AI systems for life sciences workflows. His professional work lies at the intersection of business strategy and hands-on AI product development, with expertise in Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), multi-agent orchestration, AI product management, and responsible AI. The session provided students with valuable insights into the evolving corporate landscape, the growing significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the skills required to navigate the rapidly changing world of business.

Sharing from his own transition into the corporate world, Mr. Das spoke about his professional journey and the changing expectations of employers in the contemporary business environment. He highlighted how technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence, is transforming the way organizations analyse information, make decisions, and execute business decisions.

A key focus of the session was the “Insights-to-Action Gap”, where the speaker illustrated how organizations can use AI to move rapidly from identifying business opportunities to implementing strategic decisions. Through practical business scenarios, students were encouraged to understand how speed, data-driven decision-making, and effective execution can create competitive advantage.

Mr. Das also emphasized that successful AI adoption is not merely about technology. He discussed the importance of people, processes, organizational readiness, responsible decision-making, and managerial judgement. He particularly highlighted the need for managers to understand which AI-generated insights can be trusted and how such insights should be translated into effective business decisions.

The interactive nature of the session was further strengthened through two case studies—Pragjyotish Handlooms and Rhino Brews. Students were encouraged to approach the cases from a CEO’s perspective, identify strategic and operational challenges, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions that balance growth, sustainability, and execution capacity.

Another important takeaway from the session was the speaker’s emphasis on professional networking and LinkedIn engagement. Mr. Das encouraged students to be active on LinkedIn, develop their professional profiles, engage with industry professionals, and remain updated about emerging opportunities and developments in the corporate world. He also assured the students of his willingness to remain accessible and provide guidance or assistance to those who may wish to connect with him in the future.

The session concluded with an encouraging message for students to remain curious, proactive, digitally aware, and willing to continuously learn. Mr. Das invited students to reach out to him for further assistance and guidance, thereby extending the learning experience beyond the classroom.

Overall, the session served as a valuable industry-academia interaction, giving students an opportunity to connect classroom learning with contemporary corporate practices. It highlighted the importance of combining management knowledge, technological awareness, strategic thinking, professional networking, and human judgement to succeed in the emerging AI-driven business environment.

The Department of Management organized an insightful and engaging session on “The AI-Driven Enterprise: Scaling Corporate Strategy from Insights to Action”, featuring Mr. Pranjal Das as the resource person.
