The session introduced MSW students to holistic care models for children undergoing treatment for cancer, with emphasis on safe accommodation, nutrition, education, recreational support, and psychosocial care for both children and caregivers. Ms. Priyanka Saikia, Center Lead shared field-based experiences highlighting the role of social workers in counselling, casework, hospital coordination, and family support. The interactive discussion sensitized students to the emotional, social, and economic challenges faced by families during long-term illness and explored opportunities for internships, field exposure, and collaboration.
