The Department of Bio-Sciences at Assam Don Bosco University commemorated International Immunology Day<\/em> on April 30, 2024, with a series of academic and interactive activities aimed at enhancing awareness of immunological science and its relevance to human health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the event was an invited lecture delivered by Prof. Sachin Kumar from the Department of Bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. The programme was attended by distinguished members of the university, including Dr. Prasanta Kumar Choudhury, Director of the School of Life Sciences; Dr. Probin Phanjom, Head of the Department of Biosciences; Dr. Monika Soni, Programme Coordinator; along with faculty members and students from the Department of Biosciences and the School of Life Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his lecture, Prof. Kumar provided valuable insights into age-related immunological changes and their role in the onset and progression of various diseases. His talk underscored the importance of understanding immune system dynamics in addressing contemporary health challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session was followed by an engaging interactive segment, during which participants actively discussed key topics with the speaker. To further encourage student involvement, a quiz competition was organised at the conclusion of the event, with prize money awarded to the winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was conducted with the support of the Indian Immunology Society and served as an enriching platform for academic exchange and student participation in the field of immunology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
