Hands on Training on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint : A Two-Day Skill Development Workshop

A Two-Day Workshop on Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, organized by the Department of English, Assam Don Bosco University, was held on 24th and 25th January 2025. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Halim Hussain, a faculty member of the department, with Dr. Bedanga Talukdar as the resource person.

In today’s digital era, proficiency in technical tools is essential across all fields, including humanities and social sciences. Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are fundamental applications that enhance productivity, facilitate data management, and improve presentation skills. The workshop aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge to streamline documentation, analyze data efficiently, and create impactful presentations.

Through hands-on sessions and interactive discussions, participants gained insights into essential technical skills that are crucial for academic and professional growth. The workshop reinforced the importance of digital literacy in adapting to modern workplace demands and academic research.

In total 45 students participated in the programme and became the beneficiaries.
