Conducted as an initiative of the Peer Counselling Cell, the event creatively explored the powerful connection between <strong>food and human emotions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme was inaugurated by <strong>Fr. (Dr.) James Chacko<\/strong>, Director of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SoHSS) and Deputy Registrar, who highlighted the importance of understanding emotional well-being through everyday experiences like food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Concept and Objective<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Food is more than just nourishment it is deeply tied to our memories, moods, and emotional experiences. This event aimed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Explore how different foods trigger emotions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote emotional awareness through sensory experiences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage student participation in a creative and interactive format<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students from both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes actively participated by setting up themed food stalls, each representing a unique emotional connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Highlights of the Event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creativity Through Stalls<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A wide variety of innovative stalls were put up by students across semesters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pop of Joy (BA 2nd Sem):<\/strong> Cake pops symbolizing happiness and nostalgia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Exotic Emotions of Bhelpuri:<\/strong> Bringing out tangy, lively emotions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>R.E.S Momo &amp; Pani Puri:<\/strong> Comfort street food linked with social bonding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Glazed Candies:<\/strong> Sweet treats evoking excitement and curiosity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Crave Cave (BA 4th Sem):<\/strong> A mix of crunchy and spicy items representing cravings and indulgence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gustopia:<\/strong> Focused on <em>comfort and emotional healing<\/em>, with items like chicken soup reminding us of care and warmth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Snack Instinct (BA 6th Sem):<\/strong> Refreshing drinks and snacks energizing mood<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Crave Cortex:<\/strong> Highlighting the psychology of cravings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Snacks Instinct:<\/strong> A fusion of flavors connecting taste and emotion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>BYOB Chips Store (MSc 2nd Sem):<\/strong> Customizable flavors reflecting personal emotional preferences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nokdang:<\/strong> Traditional flavors connecting culture and identity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sub-Lime Mind (MSc 4th Sem):<\/strong> Emphasizing mental clarity through citrus-based items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chaat &amp; Cheer:<\/strong> Light, cheerful foods associated with joy and social interaction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Blush and Berries:<\/strong> Aesthetic and mood-lifting treats<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Learning Through Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each stall went beyond selling food it told a story. Students explained how their items were linked to emotions such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Joy and nostalgia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comfort and care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excitement and indulgence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calmness and mental clarity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This experiential approach made psychological concepts more relatable and engaging for participants and visitors alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Student Engagement and Atmosphere<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The campus was filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and vibrant interactions. The event encouraged teamwork, communication, and innovation among students while also promoting peer bonding and emotional expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTaste of Emotions 2.0\u201d was not just a food fest it was a unique blend of psychology, creativity, and lived experiences.
