The Department of Psychology, Assam Don Bosco University, successfully hosted the Regional Conference of the National Academy of Psychology (NAOP)<\/strong> on the theme \u201cRecent Trends in Psychology\u201d<\/strong> on 8th and 9th November 2024<\/strong> at the Tapesia Campus, in collaboration with NERIM Group of Institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference brought together academicians, researchers, practitioners, and students, creating a dynamic platform for discussing emerging developments and innovations in the field of psychology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leadership and Organization<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The scientific direction was led by Prof. (Dr.) Nachiketa Tripathi<\/strong>, President, NAOP (India), with Dr. Sanjay Kumar<\/strong>, Secretary General, NAOP (India), as a key dignitary. The conference was supported by an experienced advisory and organizing committee comprising faculty members of the Department of Psychology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The conference commenced with Technical Session 1<\/strong> at Academic Block-II, chaired by Dr. Sanjay Kumar and Dr. Rajnesh Meena. Scholars presented research on diverse topics, encouraging insightful discussions and academic exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Day 2: 9th November 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Day 2 featured parallel sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Technical Session 2:<\/strong> Chaired by Dr. Dilwar Hussain and Dr. Rita Rani Talukdar<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Technical Session 3:<\/strong> Chaired by Dr. Mahesh Kumar Maurya and Dr. Naveen Kashyap<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        A key highlight was the invited talk by Prof. Tushar Singh<\/strong> on \u201cMusic, Emotion and Cognition: Exploring the Linkages,\u201d<\/em> which examined the psychological connections between sound, emotion, and cognitive processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Another insightful session by Dr. Surendra Kr. Sia<\/strong> on \u201cPsychological Barriers and Facilitators for Pro-environmental Travel Behaviour\u201d<\/em> emphasized the role of psychology in promoting sustainable practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Participation and Recognition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars. Volunteers from ADBU and NERIM played a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
