On 1st October 2023, the Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University (Tapesia Campus)<\/em> organized a cleanliness drive under the nationwide initiative \u201cSwachhata Hi Seva: Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta\u201d<\/em> as part of Swachhata Pakhwada 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was conducted in collaboration with the residents of Kamarkuchi village and witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 120 students across various departments along with community members. The drive was held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, covering a stretch of approximately 2.2 km from Kamarkuchi Kali Mandir to Dichang Resort along National Highway 37.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presence of Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Jose Palely, Hon\u2019ble Vice Chancellor, and Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Zacharias George, Deputy Registrar & Director of SH&SS, added great motivation to the participants. The initiative also saw active involvement from the Sri Sri Kali Mandir Committee, led by Mr. Deben Chandra Das, and the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collective effort not only paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary but also reinforced the commitment towards building a cleaner and more responsible India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
