{"id":1743,"date":"2024-10-07T10:10:47","date_gmt":"2024-10-07T10:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.dbuniversity.ac.in\/itep\/?p=1743"},"modified":"2024-12-13T07:03:06","modified_gmt":"2024-12-13T07:03:06","slug":"flower-arrangement-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.dbuniversity.ac.in\/itep\/flower-arrangement-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Flower Arrangement Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A workshop on Flower Arrangement was conducted by the Department of Hospitality and Hotel Administration on 16<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;February 2024 at the Cenacle, Academic Block V with an aim to create awareness among hospitality students the importance of flowers in enhancing the beauty of a place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Soma Lyngdoh, Assistant Professor at the Department started the session with a brief explanation on different elements and materials required in an aesthetic floral arrangement including flowers, containers, wrapping materials, baskets etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was followed by a demonstration of various flower arrangement styles and techniques by Mr. Sabyasachi Banerjee and Ms. Soma Lyngdoh giving hands-on practice to the participants and some arrangements were prepared as hands on practice by the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students of BSc Hospitality 6<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;Semester and 2<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;Semester took part in the workshop along with some students from other departments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A workshop on Flower Arrangement was conducted by the Department of Hospitality and Hotel Administration on 16th&nbsp;February 2024 at the Cenacle, Academic Block V with an aim to create awareness among hospitality students the importance of flowers in enhancing the beauty of a place.
