This workshop has been annually organized by the department since 2018.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main objective of WBPP-2024 was to provide basic theoretical and practical exposure on plasma physics to undergraduate and postgraduate students of different colleges and universities of the region. The theme of the workshop was&nbsp;<strong>Dusty Plasma&nbsp;<\/strong>this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Pratikshya Bezbaruah<\/strong>, Biswanath College, Assam and&nbsp;<strong>Dr. Bidyut Chutia<\/strong>, CPP-IPR, Assam; were invited to deliver talks on the thematic area of the workshop. A total of&nbsp;<strong>38<\/strong>&nbsp;students including&nbsp;<strong>13<\/strong>&nbsp;students from various universities and colleges of Assam and&nbsp;<strong>25<\/strong>&nbsp;students from ADBU participated in this workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop started with an inaugural session,&nbsp;<strong>Fr. Dr. Zacharias George<\/strong>, the honorable Registrar, ADBU, and&nbsp;<strong>Dr. Monmoyuri Baruah<\/strong>&nbsp;Head of the Department of Physics addressed the gathering and extended hearty welcome to the participants and the invited speakers to the event.&nbsp;<strong>Dr. Sumita Kumari Sharma<\/strong>, convener of WBPP-2024 presented a brief overview of the workshop and presented a summary of the day long program scheduled.
