The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), in collaboration with Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (UAS), Germany, successfully organised a one-week in-person training programme on Microcontroller and Embedded Operating Systems with STM32 from 4th to 8th August 2025 at the School of Technology, Azara Campus. Coordinated by Dr. Alexy Bhowmick and Prof. (Dr.) Bobby Sharma, the programme was led by Prof. (Dr.) Karsten Schmidt, Vice Dean, Faculty 2, Frankfurt UAS, with academic support from Mr. Momar Fall and Mr. Jeldrik Schröer. A total of 32 selected students from B.Tech (CSE, EEE, ECE) and BCA participated, gaining hands-on experience in STM32 programming, communication interfaces such as GPIO, UART, SPI and I2C, ADC/DAC interfacing, RTOS concepts including FreeRTOS, multitasking, scheduling, and mini-project development. The programme significantly enhanced students’ practical skills in embedded systems while strengthening international academic collaboration and opening avenues for future joint research, student exchange, and globally oriented technical initiatives.
