A one-day Astrophotography Workshop was conducted on 19 November 2024 by the Astronomy Club, Department of Physics, Assam Don Bosco University, aimed at introducing participants to the fundamentals of astrophotography, including essential techniques, equipment, and skills for capturing celestial objects such as stars, planets, constellations, and deep-sky objects. Conducted by Mr. Neeraj K. Phookan, Assistant Professor, Assam Don Bosco University, and Dr. Arunava Borah, Assistant Professor, Jorhat Medical College and Hospital, the workshop combined theoretical discussions with hands-on sessions covering camera settings, composition, sky conditions, celestial planning, basic image processing, and a night-time practical where participants photographed stars, star trails, constellations, and planets, including Jupiter and its moons.
