On 22nd May 2024, 33 students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati, accompanied by faculty members Mr. Rupesh Mandal and Dr. Nupur Choudhury, visited the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Shillong. The visit offered an enriching exposure to real-world applications of space technology in areas such as disaster management, environmental monitoring, GIS, navigation systems, and UAV-based surveys. Through expert talks, facility tours, and a live UAV lab demonstration, students gained valuable insights into how advanced technologies are leveraged for sustainable development in the North Eastern region. The interaction with NESAC scientists and hands-on exposure to cutting-edge infrastructure made the visit both inspiring and educational, motivating students to explore future opportunities in space science and technology.
