The programme was held at 12:15 PM in the presence of faculty members and students of the department. The wall magazine was inaugurated by <strong>Dr. Hemen Bharali, Director, School of Fundamental and Applied Sciences (SOFAS)<\/strong>. His presence added significance to the occasion and encouraged the students to actively engage in academic, scientific, and creative activities related to space science and technology. The wall magazine, prepared as part of the National Space Day observance, focused on the fundamental principles of Astronomy and Astrophysics, providing students with an opportunity to explore and present concepts related to the universe, celestial objects, astronomical phenomena, and the physical principles governing them. It also highlighted new developments and explorations in space science and technology, including advancements in space exploration, space missions, and emerging technologies. Through these themes, the initiative aimed to create awareness among students about the importance, scope, and rapid advancement of space science and technology. The wall magazine provided a platform for students to showcase their scientific knowledge, creativity, academic interests, and communication skills. It encouraged them to explore contemporary developments in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and space exploration while fostering scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and a spirit of inquiry.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The activities related to the wall magazine were guided by<strong> Prof. Monmouyuri Baruah, Head, Department of Physics, and Director, Research and Development Cell<\/strong>. Her guidance and encouragement played an important role in motivating the students and facilitating their active involvement in conceptualizing, preparing, and presenting the contents of the wall magazine. During the inauguration, Dr. Hemen Bharali appreciated the efforts of SSTC, the Department of Physics, and the students in bringing out the wall magazine. He encouraged the students to utilize such platforms to enhance their scientific understanding, nurture creativity, and remain informed about the latest developments in space science and technology. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
