Civil Engineering Faculty Participate in Green Assam Conclave 2026

Faculty members from the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Technology, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), Azara—Ms. Sutanuka Nath, Dr. Chinumoni Chaudhury, and Dr. Pori Das—participated in the Green Assam Conclave 2026 organized by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) under the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on 27 February 2026 at Hotel Arista, Guwahati. The conclave brought together policymakers, engineers, urban planners, and industry experts to discuss sustainable infrastructure development and the implementation of green building practices in Assam. Key discussions focused on policy initiatives such as Floor Area Ratio (FAR) incentives and financial subsidies of up to 9% for IGBC-certified projects, aimed at encouraging environmentally responsible construction. The event provided valuable insights into green infrastructure, sustainable urban planning, and the growing importance of energy-efficient, resource-conscious building practices for future-ready urban development in the region.
