From Blueprints to Green Futures: ADBU Civil Engineering Students Champion Sustainability Through Creativity

Blending creativity with environmental consciousness, the Department of Civil Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), Azara Campus, witnessed an inspiring showcase of ideas as its core club, the Green Building and Sustainable Design Club, organized a Poster Making Competition on “Sustainable Future” on 15th March 2026 at Room 255. Supported by the department and guided by faculty advisor Ms. Sutanuka Nath and club president Ms. Ananya Purkayastha, the event brought together enthusiastic participants from across the institute who used art as a medium to express powerful messages on climate change, eco-friendly construction, renewable energy, waste management, and sustainable urban development. With all materials thoughtfully provided to ensure inclusivity, the competition saw an impressive display of originality and awareness, as posters were evaluated on creativity, relevance, clarity, and presentation. Beyond being an artistic platform, the event served as a meaningful educational initiative, highlighting the critical role future civil engineers play in shaping a sustainable world, and reflecting a growing culture of environmental responsibility within the department.
