Life After Civil Engineering: Club Session Guides Students on Career Pathways

The Civil Engineering Club of Assam Don Bosco University organised an interactive session on “Life After Civil Engineering” on 24th January 2026 to guide students on career planning and professional growth. The session was delivered by Mr. Subhrangshu Purkayastha, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineeing, ADBUSOT, who shared valuable insights into higher studies, research, government services, private-sector opportunities, and entrepreneurship. Drawing from his academic and research experience, he emphasized the importance of skill development, internships, research publications, and networking. Students actively participated in the discussion, gaining clarity and motivation to plan their careers beyond conventional pathways, making the session both informative and inspiring.
