Civil Engineering Students Shine at National Tech Conclave — Bring Home Runner-Up Award

The Department of Civil Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University, proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement as its students participated in the Tech Expert Conclave organized by Dalmia Cement on 23rd March 2026 at Radisson Blu, Guwahati, where six student groups, mentored by Dr. Mrinal Kanti Sen, Dr. Arindom Bora, Ms. Sutanuka Nath, and Mr. Ankur Goswami, presented innovative research ideas in a competitive environment, out of which three groups were shortlisted for the final presentation and invited to attend a special technical talk and panel discussion followed by dinner. It is a moment of great pride, one of the finalist teams comprising Ms. Hritangkhi Kashyap and Mr. Yepekah K. Shohe secured the Runner-Up Award in the B.Tech Student Category for their research work titled “Evaluating Ferro-Cement and Bamboo as Sustainable Alternatives for Disaster-Resilient Construction,” under the mentorship of Dr. Mrinal Kanti Sen and Dr. Arindom Bora, earning a certificate and a ₹10,000 gift voucher, while the department also acknowledges the commendable efforts of other finalist students Brahmacharimayum Nicky, Subhjyoti Khumukcham, Newton Sapam, and Sendonglemla Jamir for their excellent performance and representation, making this achievement a proud moment that highlights the department’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and academic excellence.
