The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Assam Don Bosco University is proud to announce that Shubham Tarafder, B.Tech CSE (8th Semester, 2022–2026), has been awarded the prestigious IndiaAI Fellowship 2026.
The IndiaAI Fellowship, an initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology(MeitY), Government of India, aims to nurture and support promising talent in the field of Artificial Intelligence. This highly competitive fellowship recognizes excellence, innovation, and research potential in AI and emerging technologies.
As part of this recognition, Shubham has been awarded a fellowship grant of ₹1 lakh to continue his research in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. Additionally, he has received an extra ₹1 lakh to support the presentation of his research work at an international conference with an H5-index rating of 100+, providing valuable global academic exposure.Under the supervision of Dr. Alexy Bhowmick, the research team is working diligently to achieve the project objectives. This fellowship marks a significant milestone for both the student and the department, reinforcing the University’s commitment to cutting-edge research, innovation, and global academic engagement.
