Workshop on Service Learning
The Department of Physics successfully organized a Workshop on Service Learning on 16th September 2025 at the Department’s Digital classroom.

The workshop aimed at sensitizing the students about the concept of service learning, its significance in academic and community engagement. The session was facilitated by Ms. Alinisha Boro, a distinguished resource person from CDSI, ADBU. With her insightful presentation and interactive discussions, she elaborated on the core principles of service learning, highlighting how structured community service can enhance students’ learning experiences and contribute meaningfully to society. She further emphasized the importance of integrating community work with academic curriculum and encouraged students to identify local challenges where they could apply their knowledge and skills.

The workshop saw the enthusiastic participation of over 30 students from the UG and PG First Semester of the Department of Physics. The participants actively engaged in group activities and discussions, sharing ideas on how service learning can be implemented within the university and in their surrounding communities.

Overall, the workshop was a resounding success, creating awareness about service learning as a tool for personal growth, academic enrichment, and societal development. The Department of Physics extends its gratitude to Ms. Alinisha Boro for her expert guidance and to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement. The university looks forward to organizing more such programs that bridge education with real world challenges.
