World Social Work Day Competitions – March 17, 2025

The Department of Social Work, Assam Don Bosco University, organized essay writing and poster-making competitions to mark World Social Work Day. Postgraduate students wrote on “Social Justice: Empowering Communities for a Better Future,” while undergraduates explored “Promoting Freedom and Social Justice through Education.” A total of 45 students participated. The poster-making competition on “Intergenerational Communication to Ensure Wellbeing” also saw enthusiastic participation across both academic levels. These events encouraged critical thinking, creativity, and meaningful reflection on key social work themes, fostering greater awareness of justice and wellbeing in communities.
