Workshop on Sustainable Food Preservation Held at ADBU

A workshop titled “Harvest and Hold: Preserving the Harvest with Sustainable Techniques” was held on 22 February 2025 at the Basic Kitchen, Block 5, Assam Don Bosco University. The event was jointly organized by the Department of Bio-Sciences and the Department of Hospitality and Hotel Administration.

A total of 18 students and 5 faculty members participated. Led by Chef Manas Sarkar and faculty from both departments, the session introduced students to sustainable methods of preserving bio-resources. Participants also engaged in hands-on preparation of pickles and jams.

The workshop concluded with a presentation of the prepared items, and all participants received e-certificates.
