ADBU is a place which strives for excellence in every aspect.

I was from an engineering background and I pursued my PG in the field of Physics. At first, I was not very comfortable with some of the papers that were included in my course. However, the teachers were always ready to lend an ear whenever I was facing a problem. They took their time to explain the things which I was having trouble with, they would also give constructive criticisms which helped me in understanding the subject even more.

Apart from what was compulsory for the course, the department also took initiative by introducing different kinds of platforms for the students which proved to be useful not just for the PG course but for the long run. To highlight a few of these, the workshop on LaTeX was very helpful. Teaching something like LaTeX requires a lot of time and patience, however, even with time as a constraint, I learnt a lot from it. As a research scholar, I am thankful that I was introduced to LaTeX because I still require it every now and then in my course.

Another one was the Trends in Modern Physics which is a National Conference, where I got the opportunity to present a poster which was related to my dissertation. I gained so much from this platform since I had to dive so deep into that field and I learnt things which I may never achieve if it was not for that conference.

I am very grateful for having teachers who motivated me and I can say that they have contributed a lot to where I am right now.

To provide an outlet for the stress and the pressure that we as students were facing from our daily academic routine, every year the university organises Boscosiad activities that were scheduled to allow us to take a break from our studies for a short period of time. The different games that were organised raised the spirits of the students. Not only that, it raises the morale of every individual and moulds us into individuals who have a sense of responsibility and we also learnt the value of team effort.

There is a feeling of belonging not only in the department but in the university as a whole. In the university, we have a diversity of students and there is no discrimination in any aspect. Everyone was treated equally. This is very important in any institute because a student also requires a good ambience where he can grow and I was lucky enough that I was admitted into one. I learnt a lot from my teachers and my friends in the span of two years. I had a wonderful time in ADBU.
