M.Sc. 2015–2017, Ph.D. scholar, Mizoram University

Studying at Assam Don Bosco University was an experience like none other. It was at this University that I was given the opportunity and confidence to come out of my shell. Here I have come to the realisation that it is not through pushing or compulsory methods that a student thrives, but rather, small encouragements, time taken by teachers to understand individual students and nudging them according to their respective personalities, that bring out the ultimate best. I have never been in an institution where the well-being of each student was taken into account. The feedback we were asked to give at every semester was one such example. Though skeptical at first with the thought that it was just a formality, I was taken by surprise when it was taken into account and immediate action was taken.

The diverse activities all through the academic year ensured that every student found something they were interested in. This was what prompted someone like me, comfortable just sitting at the sidelines, to find an activity that I actually wanted to take part in. I grew more than I possibly thought I was capable of, academically and personally. It is with a sincere and grateful heart that I attribute all that I have done and all that I will be doing, to be the outcome of the well-structured system being devised by the University.

I have learned how to seize the day thanks to all the teachers and staffs of Assam Don Bosco University.
