Industry–Academia Interaction: Dhruv Space CEO Visits Department of Physics

The Department of Physics, Assam Don Bosco University, had the privilege of hosting Mr. Sanjay Nekkanti, CEO of Dhruv Space, on 28 January 2026 for an academic and industry interaction session. During his visit, Mr. Nekkanti engaged with faculty members and students, sharing insights on emerging trends in the space sector and discussing potential avenues for industry–academia collaboration.

As part of the visit, Mr. Nekkanti visited key research facilities of the department, including the Plasma Laboratory and the Nuclear Laboratory. Detailed and constructive discussions were held on prospective technological developments and collaborative research initiatives in the domain of space physics.

The visit was coordinated and hosted by the Director, IDR, and the Head of the Department of Physics, Dr. Monmouyuri Bora. The interaction marked a significant step towards strengthening institutional ties with industry and exploring future collaborative opportunities in space science and technology.
