The Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Technology, Assam Don Bosco University, jointly organized an expert session titled “India 2047 – How New Age Technologies Are Shaping India and Creating Opportunities for Engineering Graduates in Industry 4.0, 5.0, and Sustainability Technologies” on 7 March 2026 at 12:00 PM. The session was delivered by Dr. Shuchi Sharma from NAMTECH. The session was attended by final-year engineering students from multiple branches including Civil, Mechanical, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Dr. Sharma shared valuable insights on emerging technological advancements, highlighting the growing influence of Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, and sustainability-driven technologies in shaping the future workforce. She also discussed developments in green hydrogen production, electrocatalyst design, and decarbonization strategies, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary skills and innovation for future engineers. The session proved highly informative and inspiring for the students, providing them with a broader perspective on future career opportunities and technological advancements in the evolving global industry landscape.
