Faculty in Focus | Bridging Mathematics and Engineering with MATLAB

The Department of Civil Engineering is pleased to share that Mr. Subhrangshu Purkayastha, Assistant Professor, served as a Resource Person for two expert sessions during the internship programme “Applications of Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations with MATLAB,” organised by the Department of Basic Sciences, Assam Don Bosco University. Held in offline mode on 3 and 4 July 2026, the sessions focused on the implementation of Euler and second, third, and fourth order Runge–Kutta methods using MATLAB. Through engaging explanations, mathematical demonstrations and hands-on computational insights, he provided participants with valuable practical and research-oriented exposure, highlighting the effective application of numerical methods to engineering problems and strengthening academic collaboration between the departments.
