Dr. Jeni Bhattacharjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University, attended the ESRI India User Conference 2026, held on 2–3 September 2026 at Hotel Pullman New Delhi Aerocity. The conference brought together GIS professionals, government officials, academicians and industry practitioners to exchange knowledge and explore recent developments in geospatial technology. The programme featured sessions on land administration, urban planning, utilities, infrastructure, imagery and artificial intelligence, along with emerging areas such as digital twins, satellite imagery, AI-assisted spatial analysis and smart infrastructure planning. The thematic summits and technical sessions provided valuable exposure to contemporary GIS applications in land records, utility networks, urban master planning, infrastructure development and environmental monitoring, offering useful insights for teaching, research and student project guidance.
