ADBU Civil Engineering Department Empowers Women Students with FINPOWER 2026

The Department of Civil Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), Azara Campus, organized a two-day financial literacy programme titled “FINPOWER – Empowering Women Through Financial Literacy” on 13th and 14th March 2026, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce, ADBU Azara. This initiative, a CSR programme of the Mirae Asset Foundation delivered with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), witnessed the active participation of 44 female students from the 4th, 6th, and 8th semesters of B.Tech Civil Engineering. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Labo Kesh Nath, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, ADBU, who provided valuable insights into budgeting, savings, investment avenues, and financial planning, while emphasizing the importance of financial independence among women. The programme was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and queries, and successfully equipped them with practical financial knowledge, thereby complementing their technical education with essential life skills and fostering confidence in managing personal finances.
