Civil Engineering Department Partners with IIT Guwahati for National Research Workshop

The Department of Civil Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University, in collaboration with TOCIC, IIT Guwahati, organised a National Workshop on Promotion of Research and Publication under the DSIR–PRISM Scheme on 16th October 2025 at the Azara Campus. Coordinated by Dr. Girija T.R., Mr. Subhrangshu Purkayastha, and Mr. Ankur Goswami, the event aimed to promote innovation-driven research and publication excellence.

Eminent speakers from IIT Guwahati—Prof. Sukhomay Pal, Prof. Biranchi Panda, Prof. P.S. Robi, and Prof. U.K. Saha—delivered sessions on innovation funding, underwater technologies, publication ethics, and effective research communication. The talks highlighted opportunities under DSIR–PRISM and TIH initiatives, practical insights into research commercialization, and strategies for high-quality scientific writing.

The workshop fostered awareness of emerging research areas and encouraged collaboration between academia and industry. Participants appreciated the engaging sessions and expert guidance, which inspired them to pursue impactful, ethically sound, and innovative research.
