From Empathy to Innovation: ADBU Workshop Engages Budding Civil Engineers

The Department of Civil Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University, in collaboration with the IEI Students’ Chapter, organised a workshop on “Innovate for Impact: An Introduction to Design Thinking and Social Innovation” on 13th May 2025. Resource person Ms. Richa Parasher introduced 92 enthusiastic participants—including IEI student members and 2nd semester B.Tech students—to the five stages of design thinking through interactive activities, team brainstorming, and hands-on ideation. The engaging session not only enhanced creativity and problem-solving skills but also encouraged civil engineering students to view innovation as a pathway to sustainable and socially relevant solutions.
