Building Financial Awareness for the Superwomen in You

The Department of Commerce, Assam Don Bosco University, Azara, successfully organized a two-day programme titled “Building Financial Awareness for the Superwomen in You” on 20th and 21st January 2026 at the Conference Hall.

The session was conducted by Mr. Saurav Ghosh and coordinated by Dr. Jewel Mayur Phukon and Ms. Sushmita Chowdhury. The programme was specially designed for girl students of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses with the objective of enhancing their financial awareness and decision-making skills.

The resource person emphasized the importance of financial inclusion for women, the need for independent financial planning, and the significance of investing from an early stage, including one’s first salary. Various investment avenues and practical financial strategies were also discussed during the sessions.

The programme witnessed active participation from students and proved to be highly informative and engaging. It successfully contributed to empowering young women with essential financial knowledge and skills.
