OUTREACH PROGRAMME ON MANAGERIAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT ON

The Department of Commerce, Assam Don Bosco University, Azara, successfully organized an Outreach Programme on Managerial Skill Development on 11th December 2025 for the members of Maligaon Anchalik Mahila Samannay Parishad (Self-Help Group Federation).

The programme aimed to enhance the managerial, marketing, and financial skills of women and to empower them for active participation in economic activities. The session began with a welcome address by the President of the Parishad, who highlighted the challenges faced by members in their operational and social activities.

Sir Harjyoti Kalita delivered an insightful session on the importance of marketing for Self-Help Groups, emphasizing opportunities and growth prospects for women in the market. This was followed by a talk by Sir Labo Kesh Nath on accounting practices, ledger maintenance, and the significance of savings and investment in strengthening financial stability.

The programme served as a meaningful initiative to encourage women towards self-reliance and economic empowerment, reinforcing the university’s commitment to community engagement and social development.
