NISM Workshop on Financial Education on 16 September’ 2025

The Department of Commerce, School of Commerce and Management, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), in collaboration with NISM Assam Don Bosco, organised a workshop on Financial Education on 16 September 2025 at the Room no 201, Azara Campus. The programme was coordinated by Dr Nabasmita Bordoloi, Assistant Professor (Senior), Department of Commerce. A total of 65 students from BCOM 5th Semester (Honours) participated in the event.

The session was conducted by the resource person, Labo Kesh Nath, Assistant Professor (Senior), Department of Commerce, ADBU. The workshop focused on strengthening students’ financial awareness and understanding of investment practices. Key themes included the importance of financial discipline, informed investment decisions, and long-term wealth creation. Various investment instruments were introduced, and students were guided on potential career opportunities in the investment and securities market.

The interactive nature of the programme, supported by practical examples and discussions, encouraged participants to develop responsible financial habits. The workshop successfully enhanced students’ awareness of financial planning and broadened their understanding of opportunities within the finance and investment sector.
