Mr. Arup Baruah bags AICTE-RPS project


The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University, is pleased to share that the project titled “AYURLLM – A Knowledge-Augmented LLM for Evidence-Based Ayurvedic Medicinal Plants” has been sanctioned under the AICTE RPS 2025 “Lab to Market” scheme with a total approved budget of ₹22,00,000.

The project will be carried out by Arup Baruah and Dr. Jayanti Datta Roy. The sanction of this project reflects the growing emphasis on interdisciplinary and application-driven research at Assam Don Bosco University. It also highlights the department’s continued engagement in developing innovative technology-based solutions aligned with real-world needs.

The project is expected to contribute toward the development of an AI-enabled, knowledge-augmented large language model for evidence-based understanding and exploration of Ayurvedic medicinal plants. This initiative represents an important step in combining artificial intelligence with traditional knowledge systems for meaningful research and translational outcomes.

This achievement adds to the research strength of the School of Technology and reinforces ADBU’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and impactful academic research.
