Observational Visit Programme for MSW First Semester Students

The Department of Social Work, Assam Don Bosco University, organized an Observational Visit Program on 22nd August 2025 for MSW first-semester students. The program included visits to organizations such as Snehalaya, Bosco Reach Out, CDI, SOS Children’s Villages, NEDSSS, and WDC, offering students exposure to diverse fields of social work practice.

Guided by faculty supervisors, students observed organizational structures, service delivery mechanisms, and community-based interventions across areas such as child welfare, women’s empowerment, and development practice. The program enhanced students’ understanding of real-world social work settings while strengthening their observational and analytical skills. It also provided insights into professional roles and career pathways, effectively bridging the gap between theory and practice, with the participation of 81 students.
