Alumni Talk Series: Professional Journey in Social Work – Experiences, Challenges, and Career Pathways

The Department of Social Work, Assam Don Bosco University, organized an Alumni Talk Series on “Professional Journey in Social Work: Experiences, Challenges, and Career Pathways” on 23 May 2026. The session was delivered by Ms. Priyam Borooah, Program Associate, North East Affected Area Development Society (NEADS), Guwahati. Ms. Barooah is a proud alumna of the department. Drawing from her professional experiences, she shared valuable insights into the realities of social work practice, the challenges encountered in the development sector, and the diverse career opportunities available to aspiring social workers. The interactive session inspired students to reflect on their professional aspirations, develop practical perspectives on field engagement, and prepare for meaningful careers in the social development sector.
