High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
The Waters 1525 Binary HPLC system, equipped with a Waters 2489 UV/Visible detector, is available in the CIF of our institute for high-performance liquid chromatographic analysis of pharmaceutical, environmental, and biological samples. The system consists of a binary solvent-delivery pump capable of precise isocratic and gradient elution with a flow-rate range of 0.001–10.000 mL/min and a maximum operating pressure of approximately 5000 psi. It is coupled to a highly sensitive dual-wavelength Waters 2489 UV/Vis detector with a wavelength range of 190–700 nm, a wavelength accuracy of ±1 nm, low baseline noise (<5 µAU), and a linear range up to 2.5 AU. The detector incorporates a high-intensity deuterium lamp and TaperSlit flow cell technology to improve sensitivity and enable reliable quantification of analytes. The instrument is compatible with Waters Empower software for complete instrument control, data acquisition, processing, and report generation, making it suitable for routine quality control, drug assay, impurity profiling, and research applications.
