World food day 2025

The Department of Zoology, in collaboration with the Art & Craft Club, celebrated World Food Day on
16th October 2025 at the Atrium, Academic Block I, Assam Don Bosco University. The event aimed to
raise awareness about sustainable food practices, promote local and ethnic cuisines, and encourage
creativity through the integration of food, art, and culture. A total of eight food stalls were set up by students from various departments, each presenting a unique
culinary theme that reflected the spirit of World Food Day. The stalls displayed a vibrant mix of ethnic,
traditional, and innovative dishes that celebrated both local and regional diversity. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, including
Zoology, Botany, English, and Education, fostering an interdisciplinary spirit and a shared appreciation
for food, culture, and sustainability. Each stall reflected not only culinary diversity but also creativity in
design and presentation, capturing the essence of the collaboration with the Art & Craft Club. The
celebration also promoted entrepreneurial learning, as students set up stalls, managed sales, gained
valuable insights into teamwork, entrepreneurship, cultural exchange, and interacted with visitors,
turning the event into both a learning experience and a cultural exchange platform.
