Workshop on Child Rights for Social Workers

The Department of Social Work, Assam Don Bosco University, in collaboration with Snehalaya, organized a Learning and Sharing Workshop on Child Rights on 26th July 2025 for social workers. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Subhrangshu Dhar, along with contributions from faculty and resource persons, focusing on child rights, educational inequalities, and professional responsibilities in social work practice. The programme combined conceptual inputs with interactive learning through group discussions, activities, and case-based reflections grounded in the UNCRC framework. It enhanced participants’ understanding of a rights-based approach, while fostering empathy and ethical practice. The workshop served as a meaningful platform for professional learning and engagement, with the participation of 41 participants.
