Two-Day Workshop on Roles of Social Workers in Diverse Practice Settings

The Department of Social Work, Assam Don Bosco University, organized a two-day workshop on “Roles of Social Workers in Diverse Practice Settings” on 12th and 13th August 2025 for MSW first-semester students. The workshop introduced students to diverse areas of practice, including community development, public health, women’s empowerment, elderly care, school social work, and psychiatric settings through interactive and experience-based sessions. The program provided a strong foundational understanding of social work practice, emphasizing ethical responsibility and a holistic, client-centered approach. It prepared students for field-based learning and encouraged the application of theoretical knowledge in real-life contexts, supporting their academic and professional development.
