One-Day Workshop on Skill Enhancement: Research Tool Preparation & data collection

The Department of Social Work, Assam Don Bosco University, organized a one-day workshop on “Skill Enhancement: Research Tool Preparation & Data Collection” on 26th September 2025 for students. The workshop focused on the development of research instruments, including socio-demographic profiles, survey questionnaires, interview schedules, and focus group discussions, along with essential components such as consent forms and ethical protocols.

The programme combined conceptual inputs with practical exercises, providing hands-on experience in designing research tools. It strengthened students’ understanding of data collection methods, ethical considerations, and methodological rigor, while encouraging the application of these skills in academic research and fieldwork practice, with the participation of 71 students.
