Skill Enhancement Workshop on Participatory Rural Appraisal

The Department of Social Work at Assam Don Bosco University successfully organized a Skill Enhancement Workshop on Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) from 7–10 January 2026, aimed at strengthening students’ participatory and field-based competencies. The workshop introduced key PRA concepts, baseline surveys, and diverse participatory tools such as social mapping, transect walks, and problem tree analysis. Through interactive sessions, group activities, and hands-on practice, students developed practical skills in community assessment and data interpretation. The workshop concluded with student presentations and reflective discussions, reinforcing the integration of participatory methods into social work practice and enhancing readiness for field engagement.
