The Department of Chemistry, Assam Don Bosco University, Tapesia Campus, organized a Career Counselling Session on 29th October as part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, themed “Vigilance – Our Shared Responsibility.” The programme was hosted by Dr. Pallabi Borah, Assistant Professor, department of Chemistry, Assam Don Bosco University. Dr. Buljit Buragohain, Assistant Professor, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, was the resource person for the session. In his address, Dr. Buragohain provided insights into higher education opportunities in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and stressed on the value of interdisciplinary learning in the present academic and professional landscape. He also offered guidance on preparing for competitive examinations such as UPSC and State Civil Services (CCE), while highlighting current industry requirements, skill enhancement and entrepreneurship prospects. He encouraged students to recognise their personal strengths and explore possibilities of transforming their hobbies and interests into meaningful career pathways. The session witnessed active participation from both undergraduate and postgraduate students of the university. Dr. Buragohain further informed that students may consult him for personal guidance during his free consultation hours from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Saturday. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Subhasish Roy, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry.
