As part of the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, celebrated from 27th October to 2nd November 2025 under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”, the Department of Chemistry, Assam Don Bosco University, organized a talk on the topic “Digital Discipline: Using Technology Wisely with Integrity and Responsibility” on 31st October 2025 at the Atrium, Academic Block 1. The session aimed to promote awareness about ethical digital practices, responsible technology use, and the importance of vigilance in an increasingly digital world. It sought to highlight the significance of digital ethics and responsible online behaviour, encouraging individuals to adopt digital discipline as part of their personal and professional values. The session was led by Dr. Sontara Konwar Boruah, who emphasized the indispensable role of technology in modern life and underscored that while technology empowers individuals and institutions, it also demands ethical awareness, self-discipline, and responsibility from its users. She concluded by noting that technology itself is neutral—its impact depends entirely on how individuals choose to use it—and urged all participants to pledge to use technology wisely, ethically, and responsibly in every sphere of life.
